In order to add your details to the database of Fathers Reunited, you need to agree to the following terms and conditions:-

1) You are 18 years or older.

2) You are the person you say you are on the form and are not impersonationg another person, real or imaginary.

3) You are happy for your name (and other details on the registration form) to be included on our database.

4) You agree to use this site in a sensible and proper manner and will not post any information that:
( a ) may appear to be offensive, threatening, obscene or misleading.
( b ) infringes the intellectual property or other rights of Fathers Runited or any person or entity
( c ) breaks any laws

Anyone found breaking the above terms will be excluded from this site.

These are the full terms and conditions (‘terms’) that apply to use of the (‘the Website’), which is brought to you by the website(s) “Fathers Reunited.com / Fathers Reunited. co.uk”.
 
Your registration obligations
By registering with this website you are required to provide certain information about yourself. You agree to: provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by our on-line registration form. You agree that in using this website you are aged 18 years or over.
 
Member account, password and security
The registration processes on the website involves you giving a password and username. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and username, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or username. You agree to notify Fathers Reunited immediately of any unauthorised use of your password or username and any other breach of security. You also agree that you will log out at the end of each session. Fathers Reunited cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this.
 
Full Members' Terms and conditions
You acknowledge that all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages and other materials (‘content’), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. This means that you, and not Fathers Reunited are entirely responsible for all content that you upload, post, email or otherwise transmit via this website. You agree not to post details of your e-mail address, telephone number or house address on your personal profile as this could compromise your personal safety both on-line and off it. Once you have made contact with a missing relative or friend by internal e-mail via the Fathers Reunited website, you are strongly urged only to give out personal details if you are happy to do so and at your own risk.  Fathers Reunited does not control the content posted by users of the website (unless their attention is drawn to it by another member), and as such, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such content. You acknowledge that by using the website, there is a risk that you may be exposed to content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable. 
 
You acknowledge that:
If an e-mail or other message is sent by you to your lost father/son/daughter/friend/relative there is no guarantee that the person will respond to your communication.
If through the Fathers Reunited website you do make contact with your lost father/son/daughter/relative/friend Fathers Reunited is in no way responsible or liable for whatever happens between you and the father/son/daughter/relative/friend. You are strongly urged to read the “advice” section on the Fathers Reunited for advice on meeting up with a long lost relative and the safety measures that you should take.
When your 6/12 months full membership to Fathers Reunited comes to an end it is up to you to renew the membership. Fathers Reunited will not send out a reminder to you that you membership has lapsed. If your membership to Fathers Reunited has alpsed yuor detaiols will still be included on our database unless you inform us otherwise.

You agree to not use the website to:-
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
harm minors in any way:
impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, a Fathers Reunited staff member, guide or host, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity; 
forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any content transmitted through the website;
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships;
upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights (‘Rights’) of any party;
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional materials, ‘junk mail,’ ‘spam,’ ‘chain letters,’ ‘pyramid schemes,’ or any other form of solicitation;
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, damage, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
disrupt the normal flow of dialogue, cause a screen to ‘scroll’ faster than other users of the website are able to type, or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other users' ability to engage in real time exchanges;
interfere with or disrupt the website or servers or networks connected to the website, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the website;
intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable law or regulation including, but not limited to, regulations promulgated by any securities exchange;
‘stalk’ or otherwise harass another user of the website;
collect or store personal data about other users.
 
International use
As the website is used by people from all over the world, you agree to comply with all local rules and laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content.

Disputes
If for any reason you are not happy with any aspect of your membership of Fathers Reunited, please contact Fathers Reunited either by e-mail, telephone or post via our "Contact Us" page to let us know of your grievance. We will then endeavour to sort out the problem to your satisfaction. If you wish to end your membership of Fathers Reunited please inform us via one of the above methods and we will remove your details from our database. There is a "cooling off" period of seven days from purchase of your membership for you to obtain a refund (less administrative charges) if you decide you do not wish to continue with your full membership of Fathers Reunited.

Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Fathers Reunited and its affiliates, officers, agents, co-branders and other partners, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable solicitors' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of content you submit, post to or transmit through the website, your use of the website, your connection to the website, your violation of these terms and conditions, or your violation of any rights of another.
 
Copyright
Unless stated otherwise, copyright and other intellectual property rights in the contents ('contents') of this website are owned by, or licensed to, Fathers Reunited. You may only print (or download to disk) the contents for the purpose of private and personal non-commercial use, and may not otherwise copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, download, display, post or transmit, in any form whatsoever, or by any means, the contents without the express permission of Fathers Reunited.

You agree that Fathers Reunited, in its sole discretion and without liability to you or any third party, may suspend or terminate, with or without notice, the website or any part of it or any of your passwords or accounts (or any part(s) thereof or related files and information) within the website, and may remove and discard any content within the website, for any reason, including, without limitation, for lack of use or if Fathers Reunited believes that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of these terms and conditions.
 
Dealing with advertisers and merchants
Your dealings with advertisers and merchants found on or through the website, including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and such advertiser or merchant. Governing law
The website and these terms and conditions are governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Fathers Reunited makes no warranty or representation that (i) the service will meet your requirements, (ii) the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, (iii) the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable, (iv) the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you through the service will meet your expectations, and (v) any errors in the software will be corrected. 
Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the service is done at your own discretion and risk and that you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of any such material.
